The collaboration between Tactical Defense Institute President and Chief Instructor, John Benner, and custom knife maker, Rick Hinderer, owner of Hinderer Knives, has led to the design of the TDI/Hinderer knives. Based on their combined experiences as a veteran police Lieutenant and Fire Fighter/EMT, John Benner and Rick Hinderer have designed knives for real-world emergency situations, ensuring they are sure when gripped and ambidextrous for a multitude of mounting and application options.
The Hell Fire, a knife in the TDI/Hinderer collection, features a recurve Tanto blade. Included with the knife is a locking hard plastic sheath and a reversible black metal belt clip (1480CLIP). The knife has a maximum height of 1.75", a width of 1.25", and a thickness of 0.25". It is made in the USA.
